Direct to Consumer Shipments Grow

DtC Shipments Grow, Particularly Above $50 Direct-to-consumer wine shipments from U.S. wineries grew 4% in July compared to a year ago, while the 12-month growth rate stayed at 10%. Bottles priced at or above $50 grew much faster than the less expensive wines. And despite volume at $50 and above being less than 25% of volume at under $50, both categories had roughly equal sales of more than $600 million in 12 months.
